You can transfer money and pay bills using funds transfer or BPAY® from these accounts:
  • Macquarie Cash Management Account
  • Macquarie Wrap Cash Account
  • Macquarie Consolidator Cash Account
  • Macquarie Vision Cash Account.

It is not possible to withdraw or transfer funds out of super and pension accounts using funds transfer or BPAY on Macquarie Online Banking. For further assistance please see How do I make a withdrawal or rollover from my superannuation account?

To make a payment from Macquarie Online Banking:
  1. Select the icon from the side menu; or first click on the icon in top left-hand corner to display the side menu
  2. Select Make a payment
  3. Select the account the payment should come from
  4. Select the payee (EFT) or biller (BPAY) or PayID from your payee list, or add a new payee or biller
  5. Enter the amount and an optional description for the payee
  6. Check the payment date. Select to pay Now or Later or if you’d like to set a recurring payment
  7. Select Next
  8. Include payment details like notes, attachments and categorisation. These are optional and won’t be visible to the payee
  9. Select Review payment
  10. Check all details are correct and select Confirm transfer
  11. You can optionally print a receipt of the transaction via the Print icon in the top right corner of the screen.

To make a payment from the Macquarie Mobile Banking app:
  1. Select the icon on the front screen
  2. Select either Internal transfer or Make a payment
  3. Select the account from which the payment should come
  4. Select the payee (EFT) or biller (BPAY) or PayID from your payee list, or add a new payee or biller or PayID by selecting Add new payee
  5. Enter the amount and optional description for the payee
  6. Check the payment date. Select the (Pencil) edit icon to schedule the payment for a later date
  7. Include payment details like notes, attachments and categorisation. These are optional and won’t be visible to the payee
  8. Select Next
  9. Check all details are correct. Select Pay, then Confirm
  10. You can optionally print or forward a receipt of the transaction via the (share box) icon.


Some payments require validation via two-step authentication.

Larger payments will need to be verified via the Macquarie Authenticator app. Instructions for how to setup the app can be found here.

It’s important to ensure the BSB and account number are correct. The account name is not used for processing payments and we do not match the account name against the account number you provide. Entering incorrect details may mean the wrong account is credited and it may not be possible to recover the funds.
