IT Services businesses typically perform consulting, software development, systems integration, as well as hardware deployment and support.

  • Typically, revenue of >$5,000,000
  • Total loan amount:
    • When revenue ≥$30,000,000, maximum lending of 3 x EBITDA*
    • When revenue <$30,000,000, maximum lending of 2 x EBITDA*
  • Interest Only (IO): 
    • Available for entire loan term where LVR is 1.5x EBITDA* or less; or
    • Available for up to two years where LVR is more than 1.5x EBITDA*.
  • Valuation based on multiple of EBITDA* (MBL internal valuation completed).

All applications require company financials, an application form, and personal information forms for the directors / partners.

Software (SaaS)

Includes companies that create, sell, maintain and host business software.

  • Typically, revenue of >$5,000,000
  • Maximum lending of 3 x EBITDA*

    • Available for up to two years where LVR is more than 1.5x EBITDA*.

Case study 1

  • A fast-growing IT business (cloud migration and security specialist) sought a new banking relationship to help fund their growth

  • They required:

    1. $1,250,000 working capital and growth facility

    2. $1,000,000 term loan to replace their existing, more expensive convertible note

  • Total lend was $2,250,000 and loans were secured by a general security agreement (GSA) and supporting guarantees from the three directors/shareholders.

  • Both facilities are secured against the owner-occupied property in Surry Hills, NSW, and a GSA over the software trading business (and supporting guarantees from directors).
