Keep your account secure
Macquarie Authenticator will be your tool to approve transactions and other account activity giving you real-time control.

Actionable push notifications
You’ll receive actionable push notifications to verify transactions and other account activity.

Rolling codes
If you’re not connected to WiFi or a cellular network, the Authenticator app gives you the option to use a rolling code for verification.

Frequently asked questions

Not all clients will be eligible to start using Macquarie Business Online at the same time. Eligibility is based on a number of factors including functionality currently available for use.

We will contact you three to four weeks before your migration date to let you know that your move to Macquarie Business Online is coming. We will let you know the exact date of your migration at least one week before.

Your transaction history, account statements, audit history and saved payees will all be transferred to Macquarie Business Online when you upgrade from Active Banking.

Any payments that have not been authorised will not be transferred to Macquarie Business Online so we recommend finalising them prior to your migration date.

It’s a mobile app that sends you actionable push notifications when you’re prompted to verify transactions and tasks when using Macquarie Business Online.

The Macquarie Authenticator app:

  • sends push notifications for real-time control to approve or deny online transactions made from your accounts
  • provides rolling codes that are available 24/7 without needing a cellular or data network, overcoming SMS issues when you’re travelling overseas, so no matter where you are in the world, you’ll have complete control over your account activity.

Task Centre is the heart of Macquarie Business Online. It’s where you can view all payments and tasks yet to be actioned.

You can also see all scheduled payments and view an audit history of all payments and tasks completed online.

Here are some simple steps you can take to help protect your online accounts.

Use strong passwords and keep them secret

A strong password is:

  • between 8 and 256 characters in length - a longer and more complex password is harder for others to decipher
  • a combination of upper and lowercase letters, numbers and special characters (e.g. ! ; - () %)
  • unique – so don’t repeat your password across multiple websites or services
  • never shared with anyone.

If you believe your password has been compromised, change it as soon as possible.

Protect your devices

Your devices are your gateway to the internet and need to be protected. Install a reputable antivirus software on your PC or Mac. Avoid using insecure WiFi networks such as public hotspots for sensitive activity like online banking.

Monitor your accounts

Keep an eye on your accounts and be sure to let us know if you see any transactions that you don’t recognise.  You can let us know by calling us on 1800 620 673 (+61 2 8245 4177 if calling from overseas).
