Task Centre

Task Centre is the heart of Macquarie Business Online and it’s where you can keep track of all your payments and activities online.

You can use Task Centre as a ‘to do’ list. All your payments and tasks are in one place, manage awaiting authorisations and keep an eye on your requests to see how they’re progressing.

Making payments easily is core to a great online banking platform. In this video, you’ll learn how to make two of the most common payment types on MBO - a single payment and processing an ABA file.

To make a payment in Macquarie Business Online:

  1. Login to Macquarie Business Online
  2. On the menu, navigate to Pay then click Single Pay
  3. Select the account the payment should come from
  4. Enter the payee. Your payee can be from your saved payee list, a new external account, an existing Macquarie account or you can enter a biller code to make a BPAY® payment
  • For an existing payee, select the payee from the ‘To account’ selection box and skip to the next step
  • For a new payee, click New Payee above the ‘To account’ selection box
If you’re paying a new payee, you can:
  • Click Save to payee list to save your new payee to your payee list so you can make future payments to them
  • Click Continue
  • Review your payee details and click Finish
  1. Enter the amount and an optional description for your reference
  2. Enter an optional description for the payee or biller
  3. Choose the timing of your payment by selecting to pay Now or Later
  4. Click Review
  5. Check all details are correct and select either Approve or Submit for Approval.

Make sure you know who you’re paying: always verify the details of the payee are correct, confirming with them directly.

To finalise this payment, someone with authoriser level access will need to have their smart phone or tablet device close by so they can complete approval using the Macquarie Authenticator app.

You can authorise a payment through Macquarie Business Online using the Macquarie Authenticator app either using a push notification or with a secure rolling code.

To authorise a payment using a push notification:

  1. Log in to Macquarie Business Online
  2. In the menu, select Task Centre and then click To Do list
  3. Select the payment you want to authorise
  4. Review the details of the payment
  5. Click Approve
  6. A push notification will be sent to your device registered in Macquarie Authenticator
  7. Click on the notification sent to your device or
  8. Open your Macquarie Authenticator app and select the payment from your tasks
  9. Click Approve payment.


Once you’ve approved a payment, you’ll see the status of the payment has changed in the Macquarie Business Online Task Centre to reflect your authorisation.

To authorise a payment using a rolling code:

  1. Log in to Macquarie Business Online
  2. In the menu, select Task Centre and then click To Do list
  3. Select the payment you want to authorise
  4. Review the details of the payment
  5. Click Approve
  6. In the Verification panel, select Verify another way
  7. Select Rolling code
  8. Click Continue
  9. Open your Macquarie Authenticator app
  10. Select Codes
  11. Enter the Rolling code visible in your app into the Verification panel in Macquarie Business Online
  12. Click Submit.


Once you’ve approved a payment, you’ll see the status of the payment has changed in the Macquarie Business Online Task Centre to reflect your authorisation.

Generating bank statements for your accounts is easy, simply:

  1. Log in to Macquarie Business Online
  2. On the menu navigate to Accounts, then select Statements
  3. The Generate a Statement page will be displayed
  4. In the Accounts field, type the account number/s you require, or select the accounts from the drop-down list
  5. Select the date period you require or enter a custom date range by selecting Custom and then choosing the dates you need
  6. Click Generate.

Your bank statement pdf will be automatically downloaded to your downloads folder, and you can retrieve it from the bottom left-hand side of your screen.

You can generate a bank statement for up to 100 accounts at one time and your pdf will produce a new page for each account. You can produce bank statements for up to 10 years prior to today’s date in maximum intervals of three years or 15,000 transactions.
