Macquarie Authenticator is a secure digital verification and transaction approval tool.
Authenticator is even more secure than SMS and helps protect your clients from fraud – while also giving you faster management of your client’s transactions, with complete visibility for your clients.
Clients will receive actionable push notifications to verify transactions and account changes.
Cut down on wet signatures and scanning paperwork with Authenticator's digital and immediate transaction approval process.
Why you receive notifications
The Macquarie Authenticator app sends actionable push notifications to your device to approve or deny online transactions made from your account by you or your financial adviser.
What's a push notification?
An actionable push notification is a little banner that slides into view on your mobile device with a direct link to the Macquarie Authenticator app. You’ll see information about the account activity so you can feel confident to approve or decline. This is our recommended method as it’s fast and very secure. You’ll need to have notifications turned on for actionable push notifications to work. You can find these in your device settings.
For more information about push notifications, read the full help centre article here.

A rolling code is a unique code that refreshes every minute inside your Macquarie Authenticator app. It is safer than SMS as it’s tied to your verified mobile app and cannot be part of an SMS porting attack. It also runs without internet connection and is handy for those times when you may be in a remote area or overseas.
How do I use a rolling code?
